Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage backup and recovery procedures using Symantec NetBackup.
- Administer and maintain VMware environments to ensure efficient operations.
- Manage and support Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems.
- Oversee SAN and FC network environments, ensuring optimal performance and data integrity.
- Collaborate with IT teams to develop comprehensive backup strategies for critical data.
- Conduct regular system tests and drills to ensure the effectiveness of recovery plans.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to backup systems and processes.
- Document backup procedures and maintain records of backup and recovery activities.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in backup technologies and methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing backup solutions, particularly with Symantec NetBackup.
- Strong knowledge and experience with VMware, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SAN, and FC networks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Relevant certifications in Symantec NetBackup, VMware, or Red Hat Enterprise Linux are a plus.
