AV Technician Level 2

Apex is looking for a Level 2 AV Technician in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex area! If you are interested, please send your resume to [email protected]
Please find the job description below: 

  • Work 40-50 hours a week -5-10 hours of overtime per tech
  • Load in, pulling cables, handle mounts microphones
  • Terminations are good, installs need to be 70-80% mid week
  • Building racks for equipment DSP codes cabinets where the control site for tablets
  • Come in and test after techs wire it, push code
  • Pulling cables – cat5/cat6
  • Most jobs average a week but will vary
  • 3-4 week jobs and others are phased out could take a year
  • Technical kick off every Monday, Sync Thursday with project managers
  • Communicating with PM constantly
  •  Setting up listening rooms
  • Work in teams of 2- running 4 vehicles with the team lead
  • Use hand and power tools to solder and crimp connectors along with various other AV systems related tasks
  • Test point to point cabling and functionality of systems
  • Track, manage and secure all associated equipment and tools on jobsite
  • Work with office staff to initiate return material authorizations as needed
  • Communicate daily job site status to the Project Manager
