Integrating Business on Infor CloudSuite​

SITUATION​

Having recently completed an acquisition, our client was looking for an ERP and systems integrator to further drive growth in their business. With their acquisition of a new operation, they needed to consolidate their legacy company with the newly acquired company on one platform. They selected Apex and Infor due to our depth of knowledge in the food and beverage industry, expertise in cloud-based ERPs, and overall long-term partnership with the client.​

We assembled a team of 16 consultants to implement Infor’s CloudSuite Food and Beverage with the client’s preferred modules. We used a phased iterative approach which included a hybrid of Agile and Waterfall. After aligning the plans to the client’s needs and defining team roles, our consultants built a series of iterative prototype configurations. With the completion of the final prototype, our team put together three Conference Room Pilots (CRP), which were tests of the solution configuration to date. The CRPs also included any technical developments with increasing functionality in each iteration. They defined test scenarios and scripts for the functional areas as well as cross-functional examples to test the methodology and simulate tending to the customers’ business.

At this point, they began full-scale testing with Cloudsuite Food and Beverage. We began preparing training materials early in the project and once the full-scale test was completed, our team trained end users on how to operate the new system before a final go-live. This full solution was performed twice, once for the newly acquired company’s content and once for the legacy client’s content. ​

RESULT​

Apex provided a solution for the entire company on a shared platform. Our team standardized the primary functional business processes across all locations and divisions. Our solution provides full vertical integration and visibility over the entire production process.​
