SITUATION

The IT portion of a family-owned marine transportation company was looking at proactively moving its mission-critical enterprise business technology to the cloud. With the bulk of their employees working from remote locations, cloud-based technology would alleviate application maintenance and provide employees with anywhere, anytime access to the software, enabling workers to perform their jobs from ship to shore.
