With Infor (Lawson) version 9 Enterprise Financial Management as their core ERP, and the solution scheduled to decommission, our client sought to upgrade to Infor10 to leverage the latest innovations Infor has to offer.

We partnered with the client to upgrade to Infor Lawson version 10, working closely with them to conduct a full evaluation of hardware resources and software requirements to determine what was needed to support the new Landmark server and upgrade. Our team established a project timeline with the client, who agreed a weekend go-live would minimize disruption to business users. Prior to the upgrade, they were running Infor version 9, SQL Server 2008, VMware virtual servers, and Windows 2008. The upgrade to Infor10 included more technical than functional changes, but our team helped train staff on the updates and developed documentation to address any procedure changes to minimize the need for any retraining and to support consistent processes.
Our team worked with Infor and client teams to achieve a successful weekend upgrade, overcoming challenges such as resource availability, as well as determining how to incorporate customized features and system applications. Because of our long-term partnership with this client, we delivered additional value by provisioning consultants familiar with their systems and business processes. Familiarity with client customizations also helped accelerate the upgrade timeline, enabling a seamless migration to the new system.
