Service Technician
Pay Rate: Based on Experience

  • 1st month of training: First week is online then after the modules are done, they will go on site to complete on-site training.
  • After 1st month: This is when they will start going out on their own servicing alarms.
Location: Columbia, MD
Duration: 6-month Contract to hire
Targeted Start Date: 04/15/2024 or 4/22/024
Training: Mon-Fri 8-4:30 PM ET
After Training: Tues- Sat: 8-4:30 PM EST (Sometimes may have to work till the job is done latest of 6)
Job Description
The Service Tech will be using their own vehicle to drive to different residential homes around Columbia Maryland to service the alarms of existing customers
Job Responsibilities
  • Installs, dismantles, and reconstructs low voltage electrical equipment required by customer or company order.
  • Makes connections and required adjustments as directed; test operation of all components of each system to the signal-receiving center to properly establish service.
  • Troubleshooting, configuring, reconstructing, and programming existing security and site automation solutions
  • Promptly reports defective material or equipment, inaccuracies or omissions in job information that may result in inadequate protection for customer use.
  • Cleans up debris from installation, patches drill holes, and returns unused materials.

  • Have to drive your vehicle for the 6-month contract period
  • Will need to be able to hold a 6-foot ladder, can have a “little giant” which can fold up.
  • Need to have insurance on vehicle
  • Will be traveling no more than 30-40 minutes away from site. Will always stay in Maryland and around Baltimore

  • 1+ years as a residential technician – either pulling wires, servicing equipment, working with alarm systems, AT&T, Verizon.
  • Customer service experience
  • Willingness to learn
  • Good personality
