Job Description:

Apex Systems is looking for a Shipping/Receiving Specialist to be based out of Robinson TWP near Pittsburgh, PA. This opportunity comes at an exciting time for the prospective candidate, as long-term growth potential is available.

  • Manage the shipment, receipt and return of all products, materials and supplies for both domestic and international orders.
  • Collaborate and communicate with customers, third-party carriers and internal groups..
  • Track and update the Production team with the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Promptly process deliveries and stock receivables.
  • Maintain an accurate  inventory log, product packaging materials and supplies. 
  • Engage all third party carriers and customers with a positive, customer-first attitude.
  • Ability to be cross-trained in other areas of the Production & Technical Services Department to provide support, when needed, including customer and/or tech support calls.
  • Demonstrate exemplary customer service by placing phone calls to customers to coordinate shipping arrangements and collect equipment.
  • Serve as a support lead for our sensor exchange program (SXP), packing and shipping sensors on a regular basis and working alongside customers to get old sensors returned.
  • Serve as support lead for shipping customer orders.
  • Ability to collaborate with other departments to verify the status of customer accounts, adjust point of contact changes and make updated shipping arrangements, as needed.

Knowledge & Skills Required
  • A minimum one year skilled work experience in a similar industry
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Familiarity with UPS World Ship, DHL and Fedex programs
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry
  • Knowledge of Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Access (preferred)
  • Comfortable working independently and in a team environment
  • Customer service and/or tech support experience (preferred)
