As a FinOps and SRE specialist, you will be at the forefront of managing and optimizing our cloud financial operations. Your role involves working closely with our finance team to design, build, and maintain the necessary requirements for an effective FinOps framework. You will be responsible for ensuring our cloud spending is optimized, aligning with our financial goals and technology needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with finance and technology teams to develop and implement FinOps strategies and practices.

  • Monitor and analyze cloud usage and spending to identify optimization opportunities.

  • Implement and maintain cost-optimization tools and processes.

  • Develop and enforce policies for efficient cloud resource utilization.

  • Facilitate financial accountability in the technology team, ensuring budget alignment.

  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of cloud expenses and usage.

  • Develop and maintain documentation related to FinOps processes and policies.

  • Ensure high availability and reliability of our cloud infrastructure.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues in coordination with the SRE team.
     

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related field.

  • Proven experience in FinOps, cloud financial management, or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies and services (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Experience with infrastructure and operations in a Site Reliability Engineering context.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Knowledge of cost optimization strategies and tools in cloud environments.
     

Preferred Skills:

  • Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Experience with automation and scripting languages.
